Most of the local nonprofits that Sew & Sews serves in the Southwest Florida area hold a Candid Seal of Transparency, aligning our organization with trusted community standards.
Candid’s mission is to make it easier and faster for nonprofit organizations to find grant opportunities and for individual donors to find nonprofits that inspire and share their common goals. Our alignment with Candid provides Sew & Sews with an additional fundraising channel outside of our current community events and programs. Sew & Sews’ mission is to create handcrafted quilted, sewn, knotted, knitted, and crocheted items that are distributed through a growing community of nonprofit organizations in the SW Florida area. These organizations primarily focus on supporting children and families in medical and other emergency crisis situations, representing underserved and vulnerable individuals.
While Sew & Sews cannot solve the medical and societal issues facing the people we serve, we provide lovingly handmade items to let them know they are cared about and valued.
