Florida law requires homeowner associations to hold annual membership meetings with at least 14 days’ written notice, proper quorum establishment, and specific agenda items including board elections. Verandah’s official notice went out August 3, providing members some extra time to plan and review content.
At our annual meeting, the terms of three current directors will expire. They have all expressed their intent to continue to serve the community with another term and will run for reelection. The Board will hold an election for all interested candidates. In the Board of Directors Information Packet that you received will find an overview of the responsibilities, duties and powers of Board members as well as a brief description of officer roles.
If you would like to place your name in nomination, please complete the Board of Directors Candidate Nomination Notice of Intent Form and return it as soon as possible, but no later than 4:00 PM on August 24, 2026.
